Hello everyone,
I have always loved reading. I remember how excited I was when I learned my first word in first grade. Because I loved to read, I also liked to write. I wrote my first story when I was in second grade. But I was never encouraged to continue writing. Life goes on and I became a nurse but I really wanted to be either a kindergarten teacher or interior decorator. When your a nurse you'll always have a job, that's what my family said. But I wasn't totally happy with nursing even though I spent about 15 years as a psych nurse. So I returned to college for interior design. I worked in that field for 8 years. Then I had an offer to be the story lady at our library. I filled that position for 12 years. I loved that job. I read the best books. I mingled with the best people,kids under 4 feet tall. This is when my writing desires were awakened again. For the past 8 years I have been writing in earnest and loving every minute. I have sold one article to a children's magazine and another slated to appear in the same magazine in November 2006. I have a historical fiction ms out at several houses and a nonfiction article out to several mags at present.
